Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Postlister for using Jodi, our app and website. By creating an account you accept them, together with our privacy policy and community guidelines.

Who can use Jodi

You must be at least 18 years old, able to make a binding agreement, and not barred from using the service by law or by an earlier ban. You may have only one account. If you are married or in a relationship, be honest about it in your profile.

Your account

Keep your sign-in email and phone secure; you are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at support@postlister.com if you think someone else has used it. We may ask you to verify your identity.

Modes

Jodi has separate modes (dating, serious relationship, marriage, friendship, double dates and travel buddies). Use each mode for what it is meant for. Marriage mode is for people genuinely looking to marry; do not use it for casual dating.

Your content

You own the photos, text and voice notes you post. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, resize and show your content to the people your privacy settings allow, only to run and promote the service (we will never use your photos in advertising without asking). Post only content you have the right to share. Chat messages, photos and voice notes are deleted after the period shown in the app (currently 30 days); keep your own copy of anything important.

Requests to see more

You may ask other members to share details they keep private. They may approve, decline silently, mute your requests or revoke access at any time. Do not pressure anyone or copy, screenshot or share details shared with you.

Calls

Calls are only possible after you have both messaged. Never record a call without the other person's consent.

Community rules

Follow our community guidelines. We may remove content, limit features, hide or suspend your profile, or ban accounts that break them, and report illegal activity to the authorities. You can appeal a decision by writing to support@postlister.com.

Plus, coins and payments

• Prices are shown in the app before you buy and include applicable taxes.
• Plus subscriptions bought through Google Play renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel in Google Play → Subscriptions. Lifetime Plus is a one-time purchase for the life of the service.
• Coins are a virtual item for features such as super likes, boosts and seeing who liked you. They have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred, and are not refundable except where the law requires. You may also earn coins by watching optional rewarded ads or through kind actions in the app; we may change or end these rewards.

Test and demo profiles

To show how Jodi works in new areas and to app reviewers, we may show demo profiles. They are always clearly marked "Test" and never send likes or messages to real members.

Safety

We verify some information and moderate content, but we do not run criminal background checks and cannot guarantee anyone's identity or intentions. Meet in public, tell a friend, use Date check-in, and read our safety tips. You are responsible for your interactions with other members.

Things you must not do

Do not: use Jodi for commercial or promotional purposes; ask for money; scrape, copy or automate access to the service; create fake accounts or misuse verification; interfere with our systems; or use the service for anything illegal.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings or through our data deletion page. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms or the law, or to protect members. Unused coins and Plus time are lost when an account is deleted or banned for breaking the rules.

Disclaimers and liability

Jodi is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for the conduct of members on or off the service, or for indirect, incidental or consequential losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will tell you in the app before important changes take effect; continuing to use Jodi means you accept them.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any dispute; courts in India have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
