Delete your account and data

You can delete your Jodi account and the data in it at any time, for free.
In the app (fastest)
- Open Jodi and go to Profile → Settings.
- Tap Delete my account and confirm.
Your account is deleted at once and you get a reference number.
Without the app
Email support@postlister.com from the email address you use to sign in, with the subject "Delete my account". If you no longer have that email, include your name, age and city as shown on your profile so we can find the account. We confirm the request is yours and delete the account within 7 days, then reply with a reference number.
Delete only some data
You do not have to delete your account to remove data:
- Photos, prompts and details: Profile → Edit profile.
- Verification selfie: Profile → Verification → Remove my selfie (this also removes your verified tick).
- Shared details: Profile → Privacy centre → Shared with → Revoke.
- A chat: open it and choose Close chat; it is deleted for both of you.
- Notifications: Notifications → Clear all.
What is deleted
Your profile, photos, prompts, preferences, likes and swipes, matches, chat messages, photos and voice notes, call history, sharing approvals and requests, verification selfies and ID photos, notifications, devices and coins.
What we keep, and for how long
- Payment records: as long as tax and accounting laws require (usually 8 years in India), without your profile.
- Safety records: if your account was reported or banned, a minimal record (and the reported content) for as long as needed to protect members and as the law requires.
- Backups: copies in our hosting provider's backups disappear as those backups are replaced (within 30 days).
Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it in Google Play → Subscriptions so you are not charged again.
