How to send a first message that gets a reply

The best first message is about them, not a line you send to everyone.

1. Pick one detail from their profile. A prompt answer, a photo, an interest you share.
2. Ask an open question. "What's the best trek you've done?" beats "Do you like trekking?"
3. Keep it short and warm. Two sentences is plenty.
